Frederick A. Paone, 94, of Hamilton, entered into God's Care Monday, January 20, 2014.
Born in Trenton, he was a lifelong area resident. Fred served in the United States Army in North Africa, Italy and France during World War II. He retired in 1981 from Federal Wine & Liquor in Trenton, with 25 years of service.
Fred was a member of the Disabled American Veterans and Ewing Elks. He was an avid golfer and bowler.
Predeceased by his parents, Dominick and Filomina (Spair) Pone, his sister, Marie Mercantanti, his son-in-law, Vincent Burrows and his loving wife of 60 years, Laura R. (Poli) Paone, he is survived by his daughters, Donna Burrows and Janet Thomann & husband Joseph; three grandchildren, Melissa Berkenkopf & husband Mark, Jennifer Thomann-Smith & husband Brian and Heather Militch and husband Joseph; his cherished great-grandchildren, Sarah, Edmund, Ryann, Danielle and Ethan and several nieces and nephews.
Rite of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 am Saturday, January 25 at D'Errico Whitehorse Mercerville Chapel, 2365 Whitehorse Mercerville Road, Hamilton, NJ 08619. (609 587-9050 or visit www.derricofuneral.com.)
Entombment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery in Hamilton.
Calling hours will be Saturday, January 25 from 9:30 am to 11:00 am at the funeral home.
