Obituary of Dorothy Viola Marrone

~~Dorothy Viola (Witkowski) Marrone, 88,  entered into God’s loving care Thursday, November 2, 2017 at Compassionate Care Hospice at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital of Hamilton, with her loving family by her side.

Born in Trenton, Mrs. Marrone was a lifelong area resident prior to moving toTabernacle, NJ. She was the proprietor of DVM Jewelers in Trenton for twelve years.

Doris was a devout Catholic, deeply faithful, and a loving caregiver to so many. She was adored by her family and friends and a light to all she encountered. She imbued in her family her love of music and song, she especially loved to sing in church. She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and special friend to everyone she met.

Predeceased by her parents, Stephen and Cecilia (Clemas) Witkowski, her brothers, Stephen, Edward, Eugene and Victor Witkowski, two sisters, Helen Corrado and Jean Malagrino, her son, Barry Dean Seifritz and her loving husband of fifty-one years, William H. Marrone. She is survived by her daughters, Sharon Byrne, Karen Gibson & husband BG, Maryann Rousseau & husband Stephen and Darlene Stanley & husband Mark; two sisters, Florence Mucciarelli and Irene Candelori; thirteen grandchildren, Kimberlee, Greg, Cammy, Stephen, Melissa, Cara, Allison, Priscilla, Skylar, Diana, Dena, Shana and Jessica; five great-grandchildren, Jenna, Alex, Alexa, Tyler and Trenton. She is also survived by her brother-in-law, Joseph Marrone, several aunts & uncles and many nieces, nephews and cousins. 

The funeral will be held at 10:15 am on Tuesday, November 7 from D’Errico Whitehorse Mercerville Chapel, 2365 Whitehorse Mercerville Road, Hamilton, NJ 08619, located in the Brenna Cellini facility.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 am Tuesday at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, 3816 E. State Street Ext., Hamilton, NJ 08619.

Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery, 1800 Hamilton Avenue, Hamilton, NJ 08629.

Calling hours will be Tuesday, November 7 from 8:00 AM  to 10:15 AM at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the Alzheimer's Association.
