Obituary of Giuseppe Rienzi
Giuseppe Rienzi, 98, of Trenton, entered into God’s Loving Care Sunday, February 11, 2018 at his residence with
his loving family by his side.
Born in Montemilone, Italy, Mr. Rienzi emigrated to the United States in 1960 with his wife and seven children
settling in Goshen, New York where he resided for five years. In 1965, Joe and his family moved to Trenton and
resided in the Chambersburg section for many years, prior to moving with his daughter in Hamilton.
Joe was formerly employed with Ajax Rubber Company in Morrisville, PA., prior to his retirement.
Mr. Rienzi was devoted to his family, he loved to travel to his beloved Italy with his wife to visit family and
friends. In addition to traveling, Joe enjoyed spending time in his garden and making wine.
He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather who cherished watching his children succeed
in life.
Predeceased by his parents, Giuseppe and Anna (Mennuti) Rienzi, his brothers and sisters, his son Vincent and his
loving wife Angela (Lasaponara) Rienzi, he is survived by two daughters, Antoinette Rienzi with whom he resided
and Maria Nicieza and husband Mariano; four sons, Michael Rienzi and wife Theresa, Luigi Rienzi and wife
Maryann, Armando Rienzi and wife Angela and Anthony Rienzi and wife Rosemary; also survived by sixteen
grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, here and in
Italy.
The funeral will be held 9:30 am Thursday, February 15, 2018, from D’Errico Whitehorse Mercerville Chapel,
2365 Whitehorse Mercerville Road, Hamilton, NJ 08619, located in the Brenna Cellini Facility.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:30 am Thursday at Our Lady of the Angels Parish-St. Joachim’s
Church, 22-56 Butler Street, Trenton, NJ 08611.
Burial will follow in Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery, 400 Woolsey Street, Trenton, NJ 08610.
Calling hours will be Thursday, February 15, 2018 from 8:00 am to 9:30 am at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his memory to the Mount Carmel Guild, Home Health
Nursing Program, 73 N. Clinton Avenue, Trenton, NJ 08609-1093.
