Obituary of James O. Carlisi

James O. “Whimpy” Carlisi, 72, of Titusville, entered into God’s Care Friday, April 13, 2018 at Compassionate Care Hospice at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital of Hamilton.

Born in Trenton, he was a lifelong area resident.

Mr. Carlisi was formerly employed by Mercer County as a painter prior to his retirement with over 25 years of service.

Whimpy, as he was affectionately known by his family and friends was an accomplished musician who enjoyed playing the saxophone, as well as the piano and clarinet. He loved teaching music and playing with other musicians in various different bands in the area.

Predeceased by his parents, James and Oranna (Hutchcraft) Carlisi, his sister-in-law, Karen Carlisi and his son, Michael Carlisi, he is survived by his wife of forty six years, Cynthia J. (Wilkie) Carlisi; his children , Scott Carlisi, Lisa Carlisi and Anthony Carlisi and wife Marisa; one brother, Sam Carlisi; four grandchildren, Casey Carlisi and fiancée Matt Haldeman, Nicole Kominski, Adrian and Sofia Carlisi; one great granddaughter, Kaylee Haldeman; also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends may call Wednesday from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at the D’Errico Whitehorse Mercerville Chapel, LLC, located in the Brenna Cellini facility.

Private cremation was previously held.
