Obituary of Anthony Corso

On June 18,2018, our beloved Anthony died at Robert Wood Johnson Hospital of Hamilton from an overdose. We want to share his story in the hope that lives may be saved and his death will not be in vain. Addiction is a mental and physical disease and no one decides to become an addict. Anthony fought the battle but the demons won.

Anthony was enrolled in Empire Beauty School to become a barber.

He belonged to AA and NA. Anthony loved to draw, write poetry and carve wood. He loved the arts and was an avid movie goer. But most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his loving family and making all of his friends laugh. Despite his struggles Anthony helped many other addicts find their way to recovery.

Predeceased by his grandmothers, Josephine Longo and Jean Corso, his uncle Bobby (Wit) Longo, He is survived by his father Carl J. and mother Gina M (Longo) Corso, brother Carl and sister-in law Michele; two aunts, Patricia Longo and Donna Travea and husband Joseph; three uncles, Dominic Longo, Francis (Chicky) Longo and wife Silvana, and Louis Longo; nieces and nephews, Mateo, Harper, Kingsley and many cousins and special friends.

The funeral will be held 10:15 am on Friday, June 22, 2018 at D’Errico Whitehorse Mercerville Chapel, 2365 Whitehorse Mercerville Road, Hamilton, NJ 08619 (located in the Brenna-Cellini facility)

A mass of Christian burial will be held 11 am Friday June 22, 2018 at St. Anthony Church, 626 South Olden Avenue, Hamilton, NJ. 

Burial will Follow in Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery, Hamilton.

Calling hours will be Friday, June 22 from 7:00 AM to 10:15 the funeral home.
