Obituary of Guglielma Pustetta

Guglielma “Ema” (nee Pisetta) Pustetta, 100, of Hamilton, entered into God’s care on Wednesday, November 21, 2018 at her residence, with her loving family by her side.

Born in Mezzocorona, Italy, she immigrated to the United States in 1956 and has resided in Hamilton since then.

Ema, as she was affectionately known to her family and friends, was employed as a seamstress with Mercer Coat Company for over twenty-three years prior to her retirement in 1980.

She was a longtime parishioner of Our Lady of the Angels Parish Community-St. Joachim’s Church and a member of the Samuel Naples Senior Citizens Club.  The family would like to thank them for their continued kindness and compassion for Ema, as well as our sincerest gratitude to the wonderful nurses who cared for her from the Ascend Hospice Care. 

Predeceased by her parents, the late Guglielmo and Adele (nee Oberheller) Pisetta, three brothers and four sisters.  She is survived by her son, Silvo and daughter-in-law Saundra Pustetta of Scottsdale, AZ; her daughter and son-in-law, Ivette and Lucio Genzo of Hamilton, NJ with whom she resided with; four grandchildren, Christine and husband Richard, Dana and wife Sue, John Paul and wife Debbie, and Sabrina and husband Chris; also survived by nine great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandson, and several nieces and nephews with Nilda and Dirce here in the USA, and the others in Canada, Italy, and Slovenia.

Rite of Reception will be celebrated 9:00 am Wednesday, November 28 at Our Lady of the Angels Parish-St. Joachim’s Church, 22-56 Butler Street, Trenton NJ 08611.

Calling hours will follow at the church from 9:15 am to 10:15 am. There will be no calling hours at the funeral home.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10:30 am Wednesday, November 28 at the church.

Burial will follow in Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery, 400 Woolsey Street, Hamilton, NJ 08610

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her memory to Our Lady of the Angels Parish, 21-23 Bayard Street, Trenton, NJ 08611.
