Obituary of Phyllis J (Carlin) Cammiso

Phyllis J. (Carlin) Cammiso, age 84, of Hamilton, entered into God’s loving care on Friday, January 18, 2019 at home in Hamilton surrounded by her loving family.

Born in the Chambersburg section of Trenton, she was a life-long Trenton/Hamilton resident.

Phyllis was employed by the State of New Jersey Dept. of Environmental Protection for many years until her retirement.

Phyllis was proud to be Irish. She enjoyed cooking, reading and her candy. Phyllis was everyone’s mother in Chambersburg affectionately known as Mom, but most of all she cherished the times spent with her grandchildren and great grandchildren

Predeceased by her parents, David and Elsie (DeRisi) Carlin, her husband, Thomas Cammiso,  and her loving son, David Cammiso, she is survived by, three sons, Thomas Cammiso and wife Judith, Michael Cammiso and wife Susan and Dominick “ Don Don” Stillitano and wife Michelle; a sister, Elsie “Bunny” Pesarini; five grandchildren,  Phyllis Zimmer and husband Josh, her primary caretaker, Lauren Cammiso, boyfriend Jermaine, Rebecca Cammiso and fiancée Jeremey, Her other primary caretaker Dana Cammiso and boyfriend David and Jamie Cammiso and boyfriend Frank; four great grandchildren, Carlyn, Mia, Daniel “DJ” , Tomil and many nieces and nephews; three sisters-in-law Anna Cammisa who was her best friend, Lucy Cammisa and Josie Cammiso; a brother-in-law Tony Cammiso and wife Dolly and special friends, Georgiana and Joe Battista and Stella Castaldo.

The funeral will be held 11:00 am on Wednesday, January 23, 2019 at D'Errico Whitehorse Mercerville Chapel, LLC, 2365 Whitehorse Mercerville Road, Hamilton, NJ (located in the Brenna- Cellini facility). Clergy from the area will officiate.

Cremation will be private.

Calling hours will be Tuesday, January 22, 2019 from 5 pm to 8 pm at the funeral home.
