Obituary of Dorothy A Adams

Dorothy Adams, 92, of Hamilton, entered into God’s care Saturday, January 4, 2020 at Sunrise Senior Living of Wilmington, Delaware. Born in Trenton, she was a lifelong area resident. She was a 1947 graduate of Villa Victoria Academy. Mrs. Adams was employed as a secretary for the Trenton Board of Education for over thirty years prior to her retirement in 1992. Dorothy was a longtime parishioner of St. Mary’s Byzantine Catholic Church. She enjoyed volunteering at the church bingo and school office for several years into her retirement. She was a loving devoted daughter, wife, mother and grandmother. Predeceased by her parents, George and Agnes (Palinski) Miller, sisters Mary (Miller) Kasony and Katherine (Miller) Konstant and her loving husband of sixty-three years, John E. “Jack” Adams, Sr., she is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, John "Jack" Jr. and Marylou Adams of Hamilton, and James "Jim" Adams of Lawrenceville; her daughter and son-in-law, Dorothy and Dr. Bikash Bose of Hockessin, Delaware; her adored grandchildren, Jamie (Adams) Develle and husband Dan , John Adams and wife Jodi, and Jennifer (Adams) Bernardi and husband Dan; her great grandchildren, Charlotte Rose Develle, Henry Jake Adams and Dominic Paul Bernardi; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Relatives and friends may share their condolences with the family from 9:00 am to 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 10, at D’Errico Whitehorse Mercerville Chapel, 2365 Whitehorse Mercerville Road, Hamilton, NJ 08619, located in the Brenna Cellini Facility. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12 noon Friday at St. Mary's Byzantine Catholic Church, Grand and Malone streets, Trenton. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Byzantine Catholic Cemetery No. 2 in Hamilton In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her memory to St. Mary's Byzantine Catholic Church, 411 Adeline St., Trenton, NJ 08611, or the Sisters of St. Basil the Great, 500 West Main Street; Uniontown, PA 15401.
