Obituary of Giuseppina DiGiacomo

Giuseppina (Filipponi) DiGiacomo, 92, of Hamilton, entered into God’s Care, Saturday, October 31, 2020 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in Hamilton. Born in Terni, Italy, Giuseppina immigrated to the United States in 1951 at the age of 23 and settled in the Chambersburg section of Trenton, where she resided most of her life prior to moving to Hamilton. In her earlier years, Giuseppina was employed with Circle F Corporation until her retirement. She was a devout catholic and a longtime parishioner of Our Lady of the Angels Parish, St. Joachim’s Church. Mrs. DiGiacomo was a loving mother and an excellent homemaker. She enjoyed cooking Sunday dinners and keeping the traditional holiday gatherings. She loved going for walks and spending time with her family and grandchildren. Predeceased by her devoted loving husband of 58 years, Primo DiGiacomo, her parents, Marsilio and Francesca (Allegretti) Filipponi, her sister, Madalena and her loving son-in-law, Kevin McCoy, she is survived by her children, Paul DiGiacomo and wife Kathy and Maria (DiGiacomo) McCoy; one brother, Armando Filipponi and wife Adalgisa; three cherished grandchildren, Marissa Katzman and husband Chris, Paul-Michael DiGiacomo and Brandon McCoy; her adored great granddaughter, Mia Katzman; a niece, Frances Cancro and husband Anthony; a great nephew, Alexander Cancro, and her cousin Loretta Capriotti.
