Obituary of Margaret Levy

Please share a memory of Margaret to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Loving mother, “nonna,” great grandmother, aunt, cousin, and friend Margaret “Marge” Levy, 87, of Robbinsville, died of cancer January 4, surrounded by family and listening to Barbra Streisand singing her favorite song, “Send in the Clowns.” Born June 11, 1933 in Trenton, “Marge” graduated in 1951 from Trenton Central High School, where she was proud to be a dancer on the Red Team. She then attended Ballet Arts Dance School at Carnegie Hall in New York City. Fun, direct, open-minded and joyful, Marge enjoyed almost everything about life – the sun, the ocean, movies, music, dance, travel, art, books, tennis, lipstick, Gregory Peck, cards, puzzles, and potent kamikazes – but nothing more than laughing with her family and friends. She loved to convince everyone to travel with her, especially to Italy, where she was known by her family there as Marguerite. She was just as happy when loved ones gathered at her home in LBI or in Robbinsville for Sunday dinner. Marge was philanthropic, donating to several charities, and had no tolerance for bigotry, pretense or reheated pasta. She previously worked at T&M Vending, Glen Roc Travel, and, until her recent retirement, at Graycar Travel. She also previously had been a longtime volunteer at Greenwood House and the former Mercer Medical Center. Predeceased by her parents, Zoe and Carlo Marini, brothers Enzo and Ario Marini, she is survived by two sons, Steve (Ellen) and David (Gloria) Kramer; two daughters, Jessica Kramer (Mike) and Rebecca Colavita (Mark); three grandchildren, Alexandra Toland (John) and Chelsea and George Colavita, and one great-granddaughter, Cameron Joan Toland; nephew Enzo Marini (Chris) and niece, Carol Patterson (Ken), and their children and grandchildren; special cousins, Enzo and son Giuseppe Marcocchi (Francesco), of Italy; and many more cousins here and in Italy; special friend Susan Pandak, who was like a daughter to her, as well as many more wonderful friends. The family would like to give special thanks to Kelly and Joy from Greenwood Hospice Care for taking such good care of our Mom. Services will be private, at the convenience of the family. A public memorial service will be scheduled in the future. Arrangements by D’Errico Funeral Chapel, LLC, 30 Yardville Allentown Road, Hamilton, NJ 08620, located in Buklad-Merlino Facility. Contributions in Marge’s honor may be made to Greenwood Hospice 25 Scotch Road, Ewing Township, NJ 08628.
