Obituary of Gabriel Ramos

Gabriel Ramos, 46, ended his watch on May 8, 2021at Capital Health Regional Center in Trenton, NJ.Born, raised, and educated in the Trenton School district, Gabriel was part of the North Trenton Little League, Boy Scouts Troop 113, and the Trenton High wrestling team. Gaby, as he was affectionally known by all whom had the pleasure to have him in their life was an avid Buffalo Bills and Yankees fan. He loved grilling, playing pool, and was a music connoisseur. Gaby especially loved buying in bulk at Sams Club and collecting watches. Gaby was very devoted to his family and enjoyed plenty of fishing trips with his dad. Quality time with dad was of upmost importance in his life. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends cooking, eating, and joking around. Gaby had a charismatic smile and a very contagious laughter. Even if you didn't know why he was laughing, you couldn't resist laughing along with him. Gaby was a very dedicated and hardworking Correctional Police Officer with New Jersey State Prison for eighteen years. He was well respected and loved by all his brothers and sisters in blue. "Call my job" was one of the last words spoken to his dad. Predeceased by his mother Zaida Ramos Vega, Gaby leaves to mourn his passing his beloved father Fausto Ramos Sr, brother Fausto Ramos Jr (Juni), sister Marilyn (Tuti) Ramos and husband Mark Cedeno. He also leaves his stepson Noel Gonzalez who he loved as his own since he became a part of his life at the age of one. Nephews and niece: Donovan Ramos, Jasmine Cedeno, and Xavier Ramos, great niece and nephew: Lora and Donovan Jr. He also leaves a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and brothers and sisters in blue. His passing has left a grand void in many lives. Gaby was a kind, loving, open hearted, and gentle soul who kept his inner circle small. Gabriel would like to send a shout out to his East Side Forever Crew. Some of you are standing alongside dad, Tuti, and Juni at this moment. I am currently hanging out with the rest. To my brothers and sisters in blue "I salute you" and thank you for all the love, support and especially having my 6. Funeral services have been entrusted to his cousin Flor D Rodriguez Martel who was his womb mate, kindergarten classmate, middle school trouble maker, high school buddy, and life long neighbor. Gaby always made sure he let cousin Cokey know of his four months and three weeks seniority. When he began his career in corrections he did all he could to try to convince Flor to join him in the field. Calling hours will be held on Friday May 14, 2021 from 11am to 2pm at D'Errico Funeral Chapel LLC, 30 Yardville Allentown Road, Hamilton, NJ 08620. Catholic services will be held at 12pm with Deacon Benito Torres from Cathedral of St. Mary of the Assumption officiating. .
