Obituary of John DeLucia

John DeLucia, Jr., 68 of Hamilton, entered in God’s care Wednesday, June 16, 2021 at Southern Ocean County Hospital in Stafford Twp., NJ.
Born in Trenton, he was a lifelong area resident.
John was formerly employed as a carpenter with Local 31 and more recently with City of Trenton, Board of Education, prior to his retirement.
He was a talented craftsman, master carpenter, an avid fisherman, who loved outdoor activities. In his earlier years, John was an accomplished drummer, playing with various local bands in the area and teaching drum lessons.
John was a member of the Carpenter’s Union, Local 31 for many years, and a volunteer at Anchor House in Trenton, where he devoted much of his time with the kids, fishing, canoeing and hiking in the woods.
He was a devoted loving son, brother, uncle and friend, who will be sadly missed.
Predeceased by his father, John DeLucia, Sr., he is survived by his mother, Elizabeth (Pieretti) DeLucia; his longtime friend and companion, Joan Rudick; two brothers, James DeLucia and wife Kathy Keelan and Joseph DeLucia; three sisters, Rita Chianese and husband Jerry, Judy Segers and husband, Carl and Christine Brown and David; two uncles, Ernie Pieretti and Giulio DeLucia; an aunt, Lucia DeLucia; his nieces and nephews, Natalie Segers, Charles Segers, Margaret DeLucia, Dylan Brown and Samuel DeLucia; also survived by many cousins and friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather with the family 10:30 am Wednesday, June 23, 2021 at St. Anthony Catholic Church, 626 South Olden Avenue, Hamilton, NJ 08629. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am.
Burial will follow in Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery, 400 Woolsey Street, Hamilton, NJ 08610
There will be no calling hours, at the funeral home.
