Obituary of Ramon Cedeno

Ramon "Chijo" Cedeño passed away peacefully on March 24, 2023 at Capital Health Regional Center in Trenton, NJ with his loving, and devoted family by his side. Born in Adjuntas, Puerto Rico to Francisco and Leonor Cedeño. Chijo as he was affectionately known was hardworking and a great provider to his family. He was an A1 mechanic for the Trenton Police Department for over 20 years,prior to his retirement, Ramon was known as Ray with his hat and cigar. He was a jokester, who enjoyed making people laugh, especially his family. He was an avid classic car enthusiast, he would clean his garage or as he would say his "man cave" fifty times a week before getting it right. He loved working in his yard, tending his flowers and playing with his dog Mylo. Ramon always had phrases he would share. "If it's free, it's for me," "Si no fuera por estos Momentos," and when cracking a joke, he would finish off saying funny... Just kidding and laugh. Ramon was well loved by all whom had the pleasure of knowing him. He was a good father and a wonderful grandfather. He enjoyed smoking his pipes and cigars, listening to his favorite music Salsa and spending most of his time with family. When with his children and grandchildren, he would observe his beautiful family and say "Si no fuera por estos Momentos," which meant "If it weren't for these moments." Predeceased by his parents, Francisco and Leonor Cedeño; his brothers, Rafael, Francisco and Ramon L Cedeño, his sister, Lydia Cedeño, he is survived by his wife of sixty years, Jean (Treml) Cedeño; his children, Raymond (Milly), Mildred (Antonio), Robert and Mark A Cedeño; his sister, Iris Cedeño; his grandchildren, Jeanette Diaz, Heriberto (Jen) Diaz, Michael (Marion) Diaz, Omar Diaz, Mark A. Cedeño Jr (Nicole), Anette (Will)Pirela, Steven Cedeño, Robert Cedeño Jr, Stephanie Cedeño and Jasmine Cedeño. Ramon had one final request at his passing, "Cuando me muera que me pongan Salsa," in other words when I die play mi favorite music Salsa. Funeral services were held privately
