Obituary of Jerry Urbano

Jerry Urbano, 73, of Hamilton, passed away on Monday, June 5, 2023 at Jefferson University Hospital, Philadelphia with his loving family by his side. Born in Monteverde, Province of Avellino, Italy, and raised in the Chambersburg section of Trenton, he was a longtime Hamilton area resident. Jerry was employed with the New Jersey Department of Transportation as a Microelectronics System Technician working on traffic signals for 32 years, retiring in 2007. He enjoyed oldies music, gadgets, and cars, especially his red Mustang convertible. Jerry loved spending time with his family and treasured their family gatherings and holidays, most of all the family’s annual Labor Day picnic. He was a devoted son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, and friend, and will be missed by those who knew and loved him. Predeceased by his parents, Michael and Antoinette (Pizza) Urbano, his sister, Lucille (Urbano) Santitoro ,and his grandson, Logan Anthony Anaya; he is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Barbara (Lukowicz) Urbano; daughter and son-in-law, Andrea Marie and Jose Anaya; son and daughter-in-law, Michael Jerry and Hiyasmin Urbano; brother and sister-in-law, Joseph and Sue Urbano; brother-in-law, Robert Santitoro; grandson and step grandsons, Connor Michael Anaya, Joshua and Aiden Clites; granddaughter, Camryn Jade Urbano; uncle and aunt, Anthony and Isa Pizza; a special sister-in-law, Bernadette Harrison; brothers-in-law, John T. Lukowicz, Jr. and wife, Cyndi, Robert Lukowicz, and Richard Lukowicz; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousin, other relatives and dear friends. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday, June 12, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Anthony Church, 626 South Olden Avenue, Trenton, NJ 08629. Visitation for family and friends will be held Monday, June 12, 2023 from 8:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. at the D’Errico Funeral Chapel, 30 Yardville-Allentown Road, Yardville (located in the Buklad-Merlino facilities). Entombment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery Mausoleum, 1800 Hamilton Avenue, Hamilton, NJ.
