Obituary of Kathleen Costa

Kathleen “Kathy” (Koch) Costa, age 64, of Hamilton, entered in God’s care Saturday, June 24, 2023 at Capital Health Systems Hopewell Campus, with her loving family by her side, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Trenton and raised in Delran, she resided in Hamilton Township for the past 43 years. She was employed by Selective Risk Insurance, was the Manager of Good Times Tavern and she cooked for all the priests at St. Raphael’s Church. She was a great cook known for her famous sauce, meatballs, and crowd-pleasing cream puffs. Kathy was a very creative and artistic woman who enjoyed making unique baskets for every occasion. She decorated her home for every holiday, going all out, especially for her famous 4th of July picnic. She never missed any of her grandchildren’s sporting events and was considered the neighborhood Memom. Her passion was the Nick and Jim Friends in Heaven Foundation that helped countless families in need, in the name of her son Nick. Predeceased by her son, Nicholas P. Costa, her sister, Lori Koch, her father, George W. Koch, her father-in-law, Vincent Costa, Sr. and her mother-in-law, Rose Marie Costa; she is survived by her husband of 40 years, Vincent C. Costa, Jr.; two daughters, Kristi Costa, and Danielle Donovan and husband Matthew; her mother, Mary (Iorio) Koch; three grandchildren, Landon, Nikki Rose and Keegan Donovan; her brother, George Koch and wife and Laurie; her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Gregory & Hope Costa; Donna Marie & Mark Gilbert; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends. The Funeral will begin at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, June 30, 2023 at D’Errico Funeral Chapel, LLC, 30 Yardville Allentown Road, Hamilton, NJ 08620, located in the Buklad-Merlino Facility. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Raphael’s Roman Catholic Church, 3500 South Broad Street, Hamilton, NJ 08610. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, 1200 Cedar Lane, Hamilton, NJ 08610. Calling hours will be held Thursday, June 29, 2023, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
