Obituary of Vincent Savelli

Vincent Savelli, 86, of Hamilton, NJ entered in God’s Care Sunday, July 2, 2023 at Capital Health System Fuld Campus in Trenton, NJ. Born in Trenton, he was a lifelong area resident. Vince as he was affectionately known by his family and friends was a graduate of Hamilton High School West belonging to the Football Team and being inducted in The Athletic Hall of Fame. Mr. Savelli, was the proprietor of Rayco Custom Upholstery Shop formerly of S. Board Street in Hamilton and most recently located in Bordentown, where he continued to work parttime with his son Vincent. Vince was a sports enthusiast and enjoyed playing tennis and racket ball. He was a longtime member of the Italian American Sportsmen Club and The Baron Athletic Club. Predeceased by his parents, Vincent and Jean (Mule) Savelli, two daughters, Renee M Simon and Janine M Eick, he is survived by his wife of 65 years, Eleanor (Dorso) Savelli; his children, Cheryl Durelli and husband Joseph, Dianna Calorio and Vincent Savelli and wife Pamela; also survived by fourteen grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; The Funeral will be held 9:00 am Monday, July 10, 2023 from D’Errico Funeral Chapel, located in Buklad Merlino Facility, 30 Yardville Allentown Road, Hamilton 08620. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 am Monday at St. Gregory the Great Church, 4620 Nottingham Way, Hamilton, NJ 08690. Entombment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery Mausoleum, 1200 Cedar Lane Hamilton, NJ 08610. Calling hours will be Sunday, July 9, 2023 from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm at the funeral home.
