Obituary of Albert Carmignani

Albert Anthony Carmignani, 85, of Hamilton, entered into God's loving care Monday, December 22, 2014 at his residence with his loving family by his side. Born in Trenton, he was a lifelong Trenton/Hamilton resident and a graduate of Trenton Catholic Boys High School. He was an Army veteran serving during the Korean War. After his discharge from the Army, Albert began his business career in the family grocery store along with his father and brother. He later was employed with Coca Cola Bottling Company of New York for 34 years prior to his retirement as manager. Albert was a life member and fourth degree Knight of Columbus belonging to the Trenton Council # 355, a member of the Monteleonese Society, and a lifelong parishioner and a Eucharist Minister of Our Lady of the Angels Parish-St. Joachim's Church. He was a loving devoted husband, father, grandfather, and uncle with a great sense of humor, who loved cooking for his family. Predeceased by his parents, Augusto and Edorada (Calisti) Carmignani, his brothers, John and August Carmignani, his Sisters Amalia Venanzi and Mary Schiavone and his loving daughter, Barbara Carmignani Kinney, he is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Carol (Pesarini) Carmignani; his devoted daughter, Linda Carmignani; his six beautiful grandchildren, Danielle Spoto, Thomas Albert Pihokken and wife Rosanna, Mark Albert, Alyssa and Nicholas Kinney; six precious great grandchildren, Taylor and Carlie Spoto, Ava and Carlo Pihokken, Alyssa Kinney and Thomas Albert Dunn; two sisters-in-law and two brothers-in-law, Lucy and Arthur Longo and Caesar Pesarini and Elsie Pesarini; also survived by many treasured nieces, nephews cousins and friends, especially his lifelong friends, August and Josephine Tancreda. Rite of Reception will be celebrated 4:00 pm Friday, December 26 at Our Lady of the Angels Parish- St. Joachim's Church, 22-56 Butler Street, Trenton, NJ 08611, followed by calling from 4:15 pm to 6:45 pm at the church. There will be no calling at the funeral home. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 9:30 am Saturday, December 27, at St. Joachim's Church. Burial will be in Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery, 400 Woolsey Street, Hamilton, NJ 08610 Please omit flowers, memorial contributions in his memory may be made to Our Lady of the Angels Parish, 21-23 Bayard Street, Trenton, NJ 08611.
